The first days of April create worries for the stability of eurozone's economic recovery as figures showed that euro inflation hit to the lowest level during March, since November 2009. EU's statistics office Eurostat said that annual consumer inflation in the 18 countries sharing the euro fell to 0.5% in March, from February's 0.7%, which is well bellow the European Central Bank's target of 2%. Ιn the meantime, the European Central Bank held its benchmark interest rate at a record low in March, despite growing concerns over deflationary pressures in the region, The ECB said it was maintaining its benchmark interest rate at a record-low 0.25%, in line with market expectations. The central bank also held its marginal lending at 0.75% and left its deposit facility rate unchanged at 0.0%

Louis Cruises was invited to participate in the Executive Committee of CLIA Europe. CLIA Europe represents the leading cruise companies operating in Europe and has 43 members and 36 executive partners. CLIA Europe promotes the interests of cruise operators within Europe, liaising closely with the EU institutions: the commission, the Parliament, the Council of Ministers and their Permanent Representatives as well as with the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA).

Liner shipping is becoming less and less reliable as operators ignore service standards in the rush to cut costs. The bad news for shippers is that the situation is only going to get worse, according to Drewry's newly published Carrier Performance Insight report.

Weekly closing 1110. The main comments last week fully stand. Technically there is not even a slight sign of reversal in attached candlestick chart .In just one month Index declined about 55 pct, (Yday was also Monthly closing and quite devastating indeed as far as technicals are concerned).

Weekly closing 1512. Current situation reminds me a Greek saying: ''Mehri na poume doxa soi o Theos, xanarhizoume to Panagia voitha'', (We are almost ready to say ''Thanks God'', but we say ''please God help us again''). Capesizes' drop is something more than dramatic. There is abs a panic in the market with heavy selling on FFA contracts. Major Charterers hv completely vanished from the market. Panamaxes/Supras/Handies, stormy weather hv caused a lot of delays at ports.
