The European Commission has ruled that €113.9 million in Greek support for an infrastructure project of €120 million at the Port of Piraeus is in accordance with EU state aid rules. In particular, the project will further the objectives of EU transport policy and cohesion without unduly distorting competition in the internal market.

The Council of the European Union has issued Council conclusions on Somalia stating, among other things, that the EU remains fully committed to fighting piracy and armed robbery off the coast of Somalia.
