Bringing together representatives from government, port authorities, and tourism leaders, Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), the leading voice of the global cruise community, today launches the “All Aboard Greece” campaign to promote cooperation and sustainable growth in the cruise sector.

The campaign unites key representatives from national and local government, port authorities, tourism bodies, academics, suppliers, and cruise professionals. Their shared message: cruising in Greece is a force for growth and prosperity — and coordination and collaboration are key to its sustainability.

The campaign features a series of videos showcasing testimonials and insights from across the cruise value chain. The first two videos released today show:

• Cruising and Economic Impact – with commentary from the Secretary General for the Aegean and Island Policy, Mr. Manolis Koutoulakis, port agents, and academics, the video highlights how cruising generates over €1.1 billion in added value and supports hundreds of jobs in island and port communities.
• Ports and Growth – Spotlighting multiple destinations, this video explores the importance of infrastructure and long-term planning in developing Greece as a leading cruise hub.

“Cruising is particularly important to the Greek economy, as it supports the livelihoods of thousands of people across the country, and these professionals are our greatest ambassadors. We are proud that through this campaign, we are giving a voice to the people and professionals who make cruising in Greece possible,” said Maria Deligianni, Regional Director Eastern Mediterranean, CLIA.

The next two videos — Local Voices and Sustainable Cruising — will follow, reinforcing the campaign’s message of inclusive growth and responsible development.

Stakeholders featured in the campaign include representatives from:

• The Greek Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy
• Medcruise
• The Hellenic Ports Association
• Port Authorities of Corfu, Heraklion, Piraeus, Rhodes and Santorini
• Chambers of Commerce of Cyclades and Piraeus
• Local authorities of Mykonos, and Pyrgos
• Tourism professionals and suppliers
• Maritime academics and researchers from University of Piraeus
