Petter Stordalen together with Altor and TDR Capital have signed an agreement to acquire the Nordic region's most successful travel company Thomas Cook Northern Europe, also known as Ving, Spies, Tjäreborg, Globetrotter and Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia with more than 60 years of experience (together called Ving Group).

The President for the next 2 years is Claes Berglund. Mr Berglund is Director Public Affairs & Sustainability of Stena AB. He has been a senior executive in the shipping industry for 15 years, before which he worked for 12 years in road-based transport and third-party logistics services. Mr Berglund is also a reserve officer in the Royal Swedish Navy.

On 26 September, 2019, TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President & CEO: Junichiro Ikeda), Japan Bank for International Cooperation ("JBIC") and PAO NOVATEK ("NOVATEK") signed a Cooperation Agreement for LNG Transshipment Projects in Kamchatka and Murmansk, the east and west of the Russian Federation ("Projects").
