Capesizes: Steady (although small) improvement with major Australian Chrrs fixing tonnages on W.Aussie/China route. TA rounds and fronthaul cargoes are almost stuck.(Iron ore commodity price slipped today below $100/tonne in the spot market, forcing exporters to rethink their strategies. Now, exporters from Goa are unlikely to rush to bid in e-auctions of the commodity, as it wouldn't be profitable for them to export at current prices. In connection that there is a huge steel production surplus in China, make us to be quite skeptical for Capers' performance at distant future)

Darkness all around. Capers' iron ore cargoes Brazil/China hv been vanished for weeks. Aussie cargoes cannot absorb vessels oversupply. Capers Atlantic rounds are presently around at usd 5,500 daily, while for Panamaxes for same route there is total collapse, with owners happy to make today a fixture at around usd 2,500 daily, which doesnot make any sense at all, so many owners hv already given the cursed order ''Drop the Anchor''. Supply of newbuilding tonnage deliveries continues to increase creating absolutely a mess.

The first days of April create worries for the stability of eurozone's economic recovery as figures showed that euro inflation hit to the lowest level during March, since November 2009. EU's statistics office Eurostat said that annual consumer inflation in the 18 countries sharing the euro fell to 0.5% in March, from February's 0.7%, which is well bellow the European Central Bank's target of 2%. Ιn the meantime, the European Central Bank held its benchmark interest rate at a record low in March, despite growing concerns over deflationary pressures in the region, The ECB said it was maintaining its benchmark interest rate at a record-low 0.25%, in line with market expectations. The central bank also held its marginal lending at 0.75% and left its deposit facility rate unchanged at 0.0%
